Recreation Advisory Board
To manage, supervise, maintain and control the use of all recreation and park property located in Lancaster County owned by the County, the City of Lancaster, the Town of Heath Springs, and the Town of Kershaw. The Commission prepares plans for future park and recreation facilities which may be needed to meet the needs of all citizens of the county. They are responsible for the development and implementation of public recreation program for all citizens of this county.
Authority: Ordinance adopted by the Lancaster County Council on 7/25/94 (#243). Ordinance amended by the Lancaster County Council on 7/31/2000 (#385).
Governing Body: Recreation Advisory Board consists of 7 members representing the County. The Lancaster County Council appoints 7 members to represent each County Council district.
Term of Office: 4-year staggered terms. Members may serve 2 consecutive terms, but will thereafter be ineligible for appointment for a period of two years.

Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and at other times at the call of the Chair at the Lancaster County Recreation Department.
Meeting Dates and Times:
Meets every second Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 pm unless otherwise stated. Special meetings are held at the call of the chair.
