Each of the forty-six counties in South Carolina has a popularly elected Clerk of Court who serves a four-year term. The Clerk of Court provides administrative support to the Criminal, Civil, and Family Court divisions.

Mission Statement:

Provide efficient and effective service for the citizens of Lancaster County with professionalism and compassion.


In accordance with Chief Justice of South Carolina guidance; Circuit, Family, Probate and Master-in-Equity Courts may begin holding in-person proceedings, other than just trials, beginning March 15, 2021. Circuit Courts statewide may begin holding jury trials on April 5, 2021.
