Rules and Regulations
We take pride in our parks and facilities.
It is our responsibility to ensure that necessary rules and regulations concerning the conduct, admission, and regulation of users of all county parks and recreation areas/facilities open to the general public are followed and enforced.

Department Staff
Our department is responsible for providing quality recreational facilities and programs to our youth and adult participants.

We currently have 85 employees -- including full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff. Our department is comprised of administrative staff and three divisions: athletics, programs, and maintenance.
Recreation Advisory Board
The purpose and objective of the Recreation Advisory Board shall be as follows:

  • To make recommendations to the County Council for the parks and recreational needs of the county and the implementation of plans established by Council;
  • To promote parks and recreation activities within the entire county;
  • In conjunction with the Director of Parks and Recreation, to oversee the expenditure of monies appropriated by the County Council for parks and recreation purposes.
