Fire Code Appeals Board

The function of the Fire Code Appeals Board is to hear applications for modification of the requirements of the International Fire Code and appeals from decisions of the fire code official when it is alleged that there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the fire code official in the enforcement of the International Fire Code or its appendices.

Authority: Created by the Lancaster County Council by Ordinance #921 adopted on 6/2/2008.

Governing Body: The Fire Code Appeals Board consists of 5 voting members who are qualified by training and experience in the various trades pertaining to construction and fire prevention.

Term of Office:4-year staggered terms. Members may serve 2 consecutive terms.
